Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Yetur Gross-Matos. 27. EDGE. Penn State. player. 47

Yetur Gross-Matos has blown up over the last two seasons with 94 total tackles, 34.5 tackles for loss, and 17 sacks for Penn State.

The Patriots have the number one defense in the NFL right now and that area of their team is going to have to be the strength of the team going forward as they look to possibly rebuild and reload offensively.

Will Bill Belichick lose Josh McDaniels? Even crazier — will he lose Tom Brady?

Those are huge questions, and I think we’ll see them work themselves out, but there are huge question marks surrounding New England’s offense right now.

Defensively, they managed to have the top-ranked unit in the league without a true presence off the edge that can rack up sacks and cause havoc on a consistent basis.

Gross-Matos is a guy who can affect the passing game and make the Patriots’ stellar secondary even better.
