Who are the top 2020 NFL draft prospects to watch when Oregon and Wisconsin take the field in the Rose Bowl Game?

There will be plenty of 2020 NFL draft talent taking the field on New Year’s Day. There will certainly be plenty of 2020 NFL draft prospects to keep an eye on throughout the day in the Outback Bowl, Citrus Bowl and Sugar Bowl. However, we are going to put a specific emphasis on the Rose Bowl Game matchup between the sixth-ranked Oregon Ducks and eighth-ranked Wisconsin Badgers.

This Big Ten vs. Pac-12 matchup should be exciting and interesting to watch throughout. However, we are going to specifically focus on the players who can make an impact at the next level. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the 2020 NFL draft prospects to watch in the 2020 Rose Bowl Game.

Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon

Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert is likely to be one of the first quarterbacks off of the board in the 2020 NFL Draft. We all know that Joe Burrow is likely to go number one to the Cincinnati Bengals, but Herbert could easily be the next quarterback taken.

Based on pure skill-set, Herbert has it all. He has an incredibly strong arm and is mobile inside and outside of the pocket. This guy can hit any throw on the football field and keeps his accuracy when throwing on the run. Herbert also shows great accuracy to all levels of the field and is not afraid to fit the ball into tight spaces with velocity when needed.

As productive as he has been this season (66.7% completions, 3,333 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and only five interceptions), Herbert does need to work on his decision making to reach his ceiling at the next level. He tends to lock onto his first target far too often and simply does not do a great job of reading through his progressions.

Herbert is undoubtedly an exciting quarterback prospect who likely goes early in the 2020 NFL Draft. I am curious to see how he performs against a tough Wisconsin defense in the Rose Bowl.
