Who will the Dallas Cowboys take with their first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft? Let’s take a look at some contenders.

It is currently difficult to determine what the Dallas Cowboys will do in the 2020 NFL Draft. Head coach Jason Garrett looks like a sitting duck, but until the Cowboys announce what they are going to do with their coaching staff, it is not going to be difficult to predict what they are going to do.

That being said, we still understand how this front office operates and can see the positional needs on this team. Garrett never had major control over the roster and I expect them to continue to build similarly even if they bring in a new coaching staff.

What are the Cowboys waiting for? They have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL and have consistently underperformed. Garrett may not deserve all of the blame for their struggles, but he has never seemed to be in full control of the team. There is no excuse for this team not to make the postseason. Dallas would be better off with a brand new head coach and we all know it.

No matter who ends up leading the team onto the field, the Dallas Cowboys will have an extremely interesting offseason. The Cowboys have a ton of their own free agents to deal with, including quarterback Dak Prescott and star receiver Amari Cooper. The Cowboys are going to do everything that they can to bring back Prescott and Cooper, but it might end up costing them guys like Byron Jones, Robert Quinn and Maliek Collins.

The Dallas Cowboys are going to be tight up against the cap this offseason, making the 2020 NFL Draft extremely important. Dallas will look to hit throughout the draft, but nothing is more important than nailing that first-round selection. The Cowboys hold the 17th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and it will be important for them to find a playmaker at a legitimate position of need.

Without further ado, here are five realistic and exciting targets for the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
