Shaun Wade is a player I don’t think is getting enough hype right now.
Thanks to the emergence of his Ohio State teammate Jeff Okudah this season, Wade has been overshadowed but obviously NFL scouts have taken notice to his game.
Just a redshirt sophomore, Wade may not even leave school unless he gets a solid first-round grade back from the NFL Draft advisory board, and he’s definitely a first-round talent.
Even as young as he is, you can see Wade’s intelligence in the defensive backfield as a fit both on the boundary and inside as a nickel corner.
Like many Ohio State defensive backs, Wade is tough and physical, and his four tackles for loss and two forced fumbles speak to that this season.
I think the sky is the limit for him here and he could impact Carolina’s defense as an outside corner or being moved around the defensive formation as a nickel.
