Fresno State. Davante Adams. player. Pick Analysis. WR, 2nd Round, 2014. 897. Scouting Report. 8

The longtime go-to for Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams has carried the Packers receiving core for the past couple of years. Especially this season.

Aside from Aaron Jones, the second-round receiver put the offensive attack on his back like a bag of stones in 2019. Even with missing four games, Adams was the Packers’ leading receiver by an extremely wide margin.

Adams’ route-running is impeccable. He possesses a unique ability to create separation at the top of the route, especially on the deep ball. He has been more than reliable the past four seasons for Green Bay, averaging at least 60 yards per game and a 62 percent catch rate in each. Adams has shaped into a top-five receiver in NFL, in my opinion.

839. Pick Analysis. University of Tennessee. Alvin Kamara. 7. Scouting Report. RB, 3rd Round, 2017. player

Who would’ve thought someone like Alvin Kamara was hiding on the board until the third round of the NFL Draft? And boy did the Saints’ front office capitalize on this one. Kamara is one of the most talented backs in the NFL and can make an impact on the game on the ground and through the air.

The degradation of Adrian Peterson during his short run with the Saints was probably one of the best things to happen to Kamara. It allowed him to show the world what he had in store.

In 2017, Kamara paired along with Mark Ingram became an aggressive yet diverse combination at the running back position that many teams struggled to stop. The downhill, power running style of Ingram matched with Kamara’s tackle-breaking-ability and contribution in the passing game was stressful for any defensive coordinator. So much that Kamara brought home Offensive Rookie of the Year at the NFL Honors. Not bad for a mid-round selection.

Today, Kamara has been heavily debated as one of the hardest players to tackle in the league. His top-notch vision combined with his fluid movement in the open field are just a couple of reasons why Kamara is so talented. With Ingram gone, Kamara has been able to prove that he can handle the responsibility and workload of a modern NFL tailback.
