Ranking the best NFL Draft picks of the second and third rounds from 2010-2019.

In the past decade, the NFL has seen its fair share of improvements and struggles alike. From the league’s lockout in 2011 to rule adjustments and player holdouts, it’s safe to say that the NFL has experienced more than a handful of changes.

With this past decade’s events, have come unexpectedly early to mid-round players from the NFL Draft that have blown the league’s expectations out of the water. Players that didn’t let the league’s recent differences and draft position ravish their dreams.

Enough with the history lesson, these are the ten best picks from the second and third rounds (Day 2) since the 2010 NFL Draft.

10. player. 817. Jarvis Landry. LSU. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR, 2nd Round, 2014

Jarvis Landry has established himself as one of the most trustful and reliable slot receivers in the league after being taken in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. And boy did he show that he should’ve been taken a day earlier.

Since his NFL sophomore debut, Landry has consistently caught more than 80 catches every single season, averaging over 60 yards per game. Now, Landry stars for the Cleveland Browns, after Miami traded him to Cleveland before the 2018 season.

In 2019, Landry finished with 83 receptions for 1,174 yards and six touchdowns, drawing plenty of attention from quarterback Baker Mayfield, leading the team with138 targets. And this is nothing new. Last season, Landry led all NFL slot receivers in targets with 94, catching over half of them for a 52.1 percent catch rate.

Landry has made such a name for himself in Cleveland that many forget the success he had for Miami from the 2014-2017 seasons. Even outplaying his former college and current star NFL teammate, Odell Beckham this season in targets, receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. He’s no doubt Baker Mayfield’s favorite weapon and has the benefit to fit into most modern offenses.

Landry continues to show that the NFL Draft position can hold little significance as he’s become one of today’s top slot weapons.
