Everyone has heard of Jerry Jeudy and CeeDee Lamb, but fans may not be as familiar with Justin Jefferson. Jefferson was finally recognized in one of the biggest stages in college football when he caught 14 passes for 227 yards and 4 touchdowns against Oklahoma in the College Football semi-finals. As mentioned earlier, the Jets desperately need offensive weapons for Darnold and Jefferson could be a major addition for Gang Green.

All the talk for LSU has been about Joe Burrow, but his receivers are a big reason for his success. Jefferson is not overly physical for his size (6-foot-3, 192 pounds) nor is he the fastest player in the country. The way Jefferson gets separation is by winning his routes.

He’s deliberate and clean breaking in and out of his routes. There is no question that Justin Jefferson could translate to the NFL. The biggest thing I look for in a receiver is if he could create separation purely by his route running and if they have solid hands. Justin Jefferson has both of those traits along with a winning attitude.

The LSU wideout has been consistently productive this season, piling up 102 catches for 1,434 yards to go along with 18 touchdowns. Crowder led the Jets with only six touchdowns this season. The New York Jets could use a receiver that gets into the end zone like Jefferson.
