Jerry Jeudy. Pick Analysis. 1. player. 829. Scouting Report. WR. Alabama

At the beginning of the year, most in the draft industry had Jerry Jeudy going top five in the 2020 NFL Draft, but like every year, prospects will fluctuate a lot leading up to April. Jeudy was the consensus top wide receiver heading into the year but Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb seems to have jumped him for that title.

Nevertheless, Jerry Jeudy‘s talent is not questioned. His route running is beautifully crisp and is one of the fastest players in the country. Jeudy is not the type of receiver that will win with size and strength but he doesn’t have to. He always wins his route and has solid hands.

Jerry Jeudy is exactly what the New York Jets have painfully lacked for the past decade, a true number one receiver. The Jets were close when they had the pair of Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, but they were at the tail end of their careers and did not have the talent at quarterback of a Sam Darnold.

If the Jets can get a receiver like Jerry Jeudy, that would make Darnold’s job a lot easier. If New York is able to retain receiver Robby Anderson then the supporting cast would be looking pretty solid going forward.
