Ranking the 10 best NFL Draft picks of the decade (2010-2019)
6. 2011 NFL Draft: J.J. Watt, Houston Texans, Round 1, Pick 11
Just a few years ago, it could have been argued that J.J. Watt could be at the top of this list but injuries have plagued him for the last few seasons, landing him at number six of the top 10 NFL Draft picks of the decade.
The Houston Texans drafted Watt with the 11th overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft, which is a legendary draft in terms of the talent taken at the top and Watt just may be the face of that group.
Watt had one of the best stretches of production from a pass rusher that the league has ever seen from 2012 to 2015, where he won Defensive Player of the Year three times (tied for most all-time with Lawrence Taylor). In that span, he totaled 69 sacks and was the first player to ever have two 20-sack seasons.
J.J. Watt is legitimately one of the best pass rushers of all-time and has one of the most impressive resumes ever. He will be a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer when it is all said and done, and I for one am hoping he can string together a couple more memorable seasons before he hangs up his cleats.
