9. 2014 NFL Draft: Khalil Mack, Oakland Raiders, Round 1, Pick 5

Khalil Mack is the only player on this list that has since left the team that drafted him, but that doesn’t stop him from coming in as the ninth-best NFL Draft pick of this decade.

Mack was taken fifth overall in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders and quickly turned into one of the more feared defenders in the entire NFL. In four seasons in Oakland, Mack tallied 40.5 sacks and took home the 2016 AP Defensive Player of the Year award, which helped the Raiders end their 13-year playoff drought.

He had done everything the Raiders could have hoped of him but unfortunately, the two sides couldn’t agree on a new deal, so he was ultimately traded to the Chicago Bears before the 2018 season.

His worth is telling, as the Bears shelled out two first-round picks for his services and he’s already paying dividends in the windy city. In just 29 games with his new team, Khalil Mack has 21 sacks and was the driving force behind what many believed was the best defense in football in 2018.

Mack is as dominant as they come off the edge and demands a double-team on just about every snap and he is still in the prime of his career. There is no telling what else he can accomplish and should be a consensus choice when discussing top players of the last decade.
