Cincinnati Bengals 7-Round 2020 NFL mock draft: Building around Burrow
Round 5, No. 129 Overall: Jake Hanson, OL, Oregon
It’s back to the offensive line pool for the Cincinnati Bengals here in the fifth round. Billy Price has struggled to stay healthy, so finding help on the interior is a smart move. Jake Hanson can be a serviceable guy here. Hanson has good movement skills to stay in front of defenders and can work well in a zone scheme. He could end up finding a starting role by the start of the season.
Round 6, No. 160 Overall: Tyler Clark, DL, Georgia
Geno Atkins is still one of the best interior defensive line players in the league, but it would be good to add some help next to him. Andrew Billings is a solid run defender, but finding someone who can be a penetrator and get after the quarterback would be helpful. Tyler Clark can be that guy. He has active hands and has shown some pass-rushing upside and an ability to split double teams when he gets leverage.
Round 7, No. 192 Overall: Troy Pride Jr., CB, Notre Dame
The cornerback position in Cincinnati is one that could also use some work. William Jackson is still coming along in his development, but after him, the room doesn’t have a lot of depth. Troy Pride Jr. is someone who can make an impact as a seventh-round pick. He’s physical at the line of scrimmage and at the catch point, while also having some good read and react skills in off coverage.
