The Cincinnati Bengals secured the first overall pick last week. What will they do in this 2020 mock draft?

The Cincinnati Bengals almost made an amazing comeback against the Miami Dolphins last week. They were down 35-12 with 6:16 remaining, and with the help of quick touchdowns, an onside kick, and a Hail Mary, the Bengals forced overtime. In overtime, they didn’t finish the job despite getting a chance to drive down the field and fell in overtime 38-35.

While it was unfortunate that they couldn’t complete the comeback for head coach Zac Taylor’s second win, the Bengals did secure the first overall pick in that game, which gives them the opportunity to finally start fresh with a new signal-caller in 2020.

It’s great to see Andy Dalton continuing to fight down the stretch, and that could mean he sticks around for 2020 as either a backup or a starter as their new quarterback comes along and adjusts to the NFL speed.

But, the end of an era is upon the Bengals. Dalton and wide receiver A.J. Green were tied together in the 2011 NFL Draft, and after five losses in five straight trips followed by four seasons of not reaching the postseason, it’s time for a changing of the guard.
