Oklahoma State vs. Texas A&M Texas Bowl: Top 2020 NFL Draft prospects
Highlighting the top 2020 NFL draft prospects in the Texas Bowl matchup between Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.
On Friday evening, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M will face off in the Texas Bowl. Neither team has been as successful as they expected to be this season, but there will still be plenty of 2020 NFL draft talent on the field for us to pay attention to.
Before the two teams hit the field, we want you to know the specific prospects in this game to watch. Without further ado, here are five 2020 NFL draft prospects worth keeping an eye on in the Texas Bowl.
Note: Texas A&M defensive lineman Justin Madubuike and injured Oklahoma State wide receiver Tylan Wallace both would have been on this list if they were participating in the Texas Bowl.
Chuba Hubbard, RB, Oklahoma State
We are still unsure whether Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard will enter the 2020 NFL draft or not, but if he does, he will undoubtedly be one of the top prospects at his position in the class.
This season, Hubbard has carried the ball 309 times for 1,936 yards and 21 touchdowns. He has been the clear centerpiece of the Oklahoma State offense and is the leading rusher in FBS college football this season.
Hubbard has taken his game to the next level this season, showing far more explosion in the open field than last season. Hubbard was always quick and elusive in the open space, but last year, he was not able to hit that final gear and take it to the house. This season, Hubbard has been unleashed and every time he finds a crease, it is game over for the defense.
Hubbard is an extremely smart and instinctive runner who finds the hole quickly and shows tremendous burst. He also works through traffic extremely well and shows good contact balance. Texas A&M had a top-30 rush defense this season and if Hubbard can put up a big game against them, his 2020 NFL draft stock will likely rise.
