Miami Dolphins seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft: Tua and more
By Evan Bachman
As I said earlier, the Miami Dolphins haven’t had a good quarterback since Dan Marino so if Tua Tagovailoa is still available he could be too tempting to pass up.
Obviously, there is a lot of risk involved considering his hip injury, but with his upside, he is well worth the risk.
People always like the obsess over the newest thing but NFL teams can’t forget that Tagovailoa is a potential superstar. He was firmly in the number one overall conversation before his injury. With his accuracy to all levels of the field, especially on the deep ball, his athletic ability, and his proven good decision making you can easily see why.
Last year he put up 3,966 passing yards with 43 touchdowns and six interceptions in 15 games. This year, he was on his way to putting up similar numbers before his injury.
One knock people knock him for is the receiving talent that Alabama has is the reason for his success. Why it is valid that Alabama’s elite receiving core certainly helps, he’s still proven he can make throws all over the field and it should not be used as a reason for the Dolphins to pass on him.
