Rebuilding the Miami Dolphins with a seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.

The Miami Dolphins have had a rather interesting season. After losing their first four games by a combined score of 128-26 it seemed they had no intention of winning whatsoever and were destined to go 0-16. In the next three games, they were more competitive but still didn’t pick up a win. After the 0-7 start, however, they have won four of their last eight games and are now positioned to get the fifth overall pick with one week to go.

The Dolphins are the best-positioned team to get a monster haul in this year’s draft. After the Kenyan Drake trade, they have a total of 13 picks, including three first-rounders and two second-rounders. The extra first-round picks came from trading Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Steelers and trading Laremy Tunsil and Kenny Stills to the Texans. The extra second-round pick came from a draft-day trade with the Saints last year.

With holes littered throughout their roster, the Miami Dolphins should be focused on getting as much value as possible and that means taking the best player available. They already have a lot of capital built up for next year’s draft after getting a first and second-round pick from the Texans trade, but you can never have too many picks and if the trade back value is there on draft day, they should do it.

Trading up is also an option if they see that they like falling they certainly have the ammunition to move up and they should at least consider trading back if it nets them the right player.

For a team that hasn’t had a good quarterback since Dan Marino the chance to take a quarterback in this draft has to be very appealing for fans, especially now that they won’t be in a position to land Chase Young and Tua Tagovailoa certainly could be available.
