With one of the youngest cores in the 2020 NFL Playoffs, Sean McDermott and the Buffalo Bills look to continue to build around Josh Allen and Tremaine Edmunds.

After two close losses to the New England Patriots this season, the Buffalo Bills are still the heir to the AFC East throne. Josh Allen, Tremaine Edmunds and Tre’davious White have shaped a young, explosive identity for this Bills team and have brought success unseen since the days of their failed super bowl appearances.

Offensive weapons John Brown and Devin Singletary have led the team in receiving and rushing respectively, and look to be a part of the franchise for the foreseeable future.

Even with this young talent, the 2020 NFL Draft is a time for the Bills to fill out the gaps in their current roster and become a complete football team. Receiving talent is an obvious need on the roster, lacking the weapons Allen will need to take this team down the stretch.

Defensive tackle Jordan Phillips currently leads the team with 9.5 sacks, and their top edge presence is Clemson product, Shaq Lawson. Interior pressure has been the bread and butter of this Bills defense, and with Ed Oliver continuing to become a defensive force, that will not be changing anytime soon.

Buffalo has collected an array of sixth-round draft picks with trades throughout the 2019 season, making their deep-draft scouting crucial to the outcome of this draft. This mock draft will not be including prospective trades, but a trade up in the mid-rounds is more than likely when looking at their current collection of assets.
