2020 NFL Draft: Dolphins pass on Tua in this first-round mock draft
The New York Jets are another team that needs plenty of help from free agency and the 2020 NFL Draft. It’s been an up and down season for the Jets, and that inconsistency mostly falls on the offense and Adam Gase. When Gase plays to quarterback Sam Darnold‘s strengths, the Jets (and Darnold) play well. When Gase goes back to his system and his way, the team suffers. Hopefully, they can move on from him and start over in 2020.
However, Darnold is a quarterback that has enough promise to build around. The Jets could use offensive line help and more weapons for Darnold. Here, the Jets decide to do the latter. Robby Anderson is the vertical threat, while Jamison Crowder is a nice slot option, but neither is a true number one. Jerry Jeudy is that and can be a perfect fit here becoming that number one option.
Jeudy is one of the more refined route runners to come out in a while and is this writer’s number one receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft. His ability to sink his hips and change direction on a dime is outstanding, as he created separation in a multitude of ways in college. Jeudy also has the speed to take the top off defenses and is dangerous after the catch.
