Alabama. Jedrick Wills. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Offensive tackle. 6. 32

The first year of the air raid for the Arizona Cardinals wasn’t a total success, but it looks like they have their franchise quarterback in Kyler Murray. Now, the Cardinals need to beef up their roster in the 2020 NFL Draft in a number of spots.

The Cardinals took three receivers in last year’s draft, and right now none of them are big contributors. It’s entirely possible they head back to the receiver well in this draft, but with such a deep class, they can look for impact players on day two. The real need for the Cardinals is offensive line help to protect Kyler Murray, who’s been sacked 3.4 times per game in 2019.

Jedrick Wills may not be the popular pick, but he’s the right selection for the Cardinals here in the first round. Wills would be a perfect fit for that offense, especially with a scrambler like Murray. He has excellent movement skills for a tackle and has good recovery athleticism. His footwork is probably the best of any tackle in the 2020 NFL Draft. Wills can also get out in space and create openings.

Cardinals fans should hope that they end up with a high draft pick because Wills could end up being the top tackle on many boards come April.
