Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. TCU. player. Wide receiver. Jalen Reagor. 27. 15

The New Orleans Saints are cruising once again in 2019, and are still looking for that second Super Bowl with Sean Payton and Drew Brees, who just snatched the record for career touchdown passes from Peyton Manning on Monday Night Football. They have a good shot this season if they can secure a bye.

The main question this offseason, Super Bowl win or not, will surround Brees. If he comes back, it’s likely Teddy Bridgewater leaves in free agency. Even if Brees doesn’t come back, the Saints may still need to find a quarterback. If that does happen, then the 2020 NFL Draft could see the Saints move up.

For now, though, let’s say the quarterback position isn’t an issue. Other than that, where could the Saints find some help? The wide receiver position is one area of need. It’s been tough for New Orleans to find consistency opposite Michael Thomas. Ted Ginn is up there in age and Tre’Quan Smith hasn’t had that breakout yet.

The Saints opt to use their pick here on TCU’s Jalen Reagor. Reagor is one of the more explosive receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft. He can challenge defenders vertically and has good athleticism and quickness to snap off routes. Reagor is also dangerous after the catch. Payton would enjoy Reagor in his offense.
