2020 NFL Draft: Dolphins pass on Tua in this first-round mock draft
The Dolphins are on the clock once again here in the 2020 NFL Draft, and now that they have a quarterback of the future and an offensive tackle to protect him, it’s time to find some help on the defensive side of the ball.
The defensive line is pretty weak right now, especially with 2019 first-round pick Christian Wilkins still developing. The edge rushers on this team right now have been scooped up from other teams. Taco Charlton was a former first-round pick in Dallas, and Vince Biegel has been on a couple practice squads around the league. That isn’t great, so finding an edge rusher in the 2020 NFL Draft would be helpful.
Terrell Lewis would be a great addition for this team. Lewis has great size and length to play on the edge, something Brian Flores will like. He can win on the edge with a quick first step and some bend, but also has an array of moves to get to the quarterback as well, including a nasty long arm move.
Lewis does have some questions medically, but he can put those to rest at the combine. He is also headed to the Senior Bowl in January, where he could dominate opposing tackles and work his way to being a surefire first-rounder. He’s worth the risk for the Dolphins here.
