52. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oklahoma. Kenneth Murray. player. Linebacker. 20

The Jacksonville Jaguars got this selection from the Jalen Ramsey trade with the Rams, and like the Raiders, they went offense with their first selection and took CeeDee Lamb to help out the receiving core. Also, like the Raiders, the Jaguars should turn to the defensive side of the football for their next selection.

This defense is still a pretty solid unit, but if they want to get back to the unit that dominated opponents in 2017, the Jags need to find a couple more impact players in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Now, most mock drafts have them selecting a corner with one of their two picks because replacing Ramsey should be high on the list of priorities. Trevon Diggs was considered in this spot, but this team is at their best when they have a great linebacking core. Telvin Smith took a year off from football, and Myles Jack has been out most of the season. It’s time to add another impact player at the position.

Kenneth Murray is exactly the type of linebacker this team wants. Murray is listed at 6’2″ and 243 pounds, which is right in the sweet spot of linebackers in this passing league. However, Murray plays like he’s 220 pounds. He has excellent range from sideline to sideline and combines that speed and athleticism with great instincts. Murray puts out so many examples of this on tape, where he flies downhill to make plays near the line of scrimmage. In this defense, Murray can thrive.
