2020 NFL Draft: Dolphins pass on Tua in this first-round mock draft
The Philadelphia Eagles have struggled a lot this season but still find themselves with a chance to reach the postseason if they beat Dallas on Sunday. Injuries have plagued this team all season, especially at the wide receiver position. DeSean Jackson has missed a big portion of the season, and Alshon Jeffery was put on IR just recently. Giving Carson Wentz and this offense another weapon would be a great call, but there isn’t much value at this spot in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Where else do the Eagles need help? One look at this season would tell you the secondary is in need of a major fix. This team allows so many big plays down the field and is constantly confused in coverage. The cornerback class in the 2020 NFL Draft is a very strong one. There are very good options still available, but the Eagles take Jeff Gladney, which might be shocking to some at this point in the draft process.
On tape, Gladney looks like one of the top corners in the class. He has great footwork at the line of scrimmage and stays patient as receivers get into their routes. Gladney is a great athlete who can change direction with ease and the speed to stay with receivers down the field.
Once Gladney gets down to Mobile for the Senior Bowl, he will show teams his skill set and could make a leap into round one conversation. He would be a great fit in Philadelphia and significantly help the back end.
