Pick Analysis. Offensive tackle. 14. player. Scouting Report. Iowa. Tristan Wirfs. 53

What a disappointing season it’s been for the Cleveland Browns. After trading for Odell Beckham Jr., the Super Bowl chants were bountiful in northeast Ohio. It hasn’t been anywhere close to that for this team in 2019, and they couldn’t even snag a wild card spot. There’s been a lot of issues with the discipline with this team, and the right direction for Cleveland would be to fire Freddie Kitchens. It doesn’t seem like he will though, so the next best thing is fixing this team in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Baker Mayfield has had a bit of a sophomore slump, but some of that falls on the lack of talent on the offensive line. If the offense had someone to protect Mayfield more, the offense can get back to its potential.

Selecting Iowa tackle Tristan Wirfs would be a great start in getting this team back to the playoffs. Wirfs has had an excellent season for the Hawkeyes and is one of the top tackles in the 2020 NFL Draft. He’s strong at the point of attack and has plenty of movement skills and ability in pass protection. He also played on both sides of the offensive line in 2019, so it doesn’t matter which side Cleveland puts him on. Wirfs can help Mayfield and Browns reach the playoffs in 2020.
