2020 NFL Draft: 5 best team fits for Oregon QB Justin Herbert

New England Patriots
Tom Brady is nearing the end. Mid-season, Brady and the Patriots restructured his contract to void the 2020 season and forward his payments to the 2019 season. This restructure, as well as personal endeavors such as putting his Massachusetts home for sale, suggest the end of the Brady-era in New England. A return in 2020 is not impossible but would have to be done on a one-year extension mentoring Herbert.
Bill Belichick designed an offense around Brady in his young years and first super bowls and could do the same for an even more talented quarterback such as Herbert. Current weapons N’Keal Harry, Sony Michel, James White and Julian Edelman are all capable of providing consistent separation for Herbert and making his reads easier.
With the best defense in football, New England would be creating a sequel to their first 3 super bowls, utilizing a dominant defense with a young quarterback. With Herbert under center, New England will need to revive the running game of the 2018 postseason with Georgia product Sony Michel as well as their offensive line of guards Joe Thuney and Shaq Mason.
For New England to continue their success, a legitimate predecessor needs to be established, and Herbert can fill that role. Either a un-Belichick-like trade up or unexpected fall could land the rookie in New England and give him a winning situation from day one.
