The New York Jets address their need of a pass rusher by taking an edge rusher in back to back picks. Utah’s Bradlee Anae could be a steal in the fourth round for Jets as he had 12.5 sacks this past season. As previously stated Jenkins could leave in free agency so the Jets will have to add multiple edge rushers in the offseason.

Anae has a plethora of pass rush moves that allow him to beat the blocker for the sack. He does not have the bend you like to see in an edge rusher but his pursuit is unmatched. This is a player that Gregg Williams could mold into a key contributor. The Jets special teams have been a big strength the last few seasons under coach Brant Boyer and a player like Anae could play a big role there until he’s ready for more snaps on the defense.

With their fifth-round pick, the New York Jets take a chance on Florida Gators running back Lamical Perine. There’s been talk that the Jets could look to move Le’Veon Bell this offseason and even if they don’t, the Jets don’t have another running back on the roster for next season. Perine can be a nice addition to the Jets and could spare Bell some time if they elect to retain his services.

Perine’s combination of patience, vision and balance makes him a real threat in the ground game. Heading into his last year at Florida I was very intrigued about his potential of carrying the workload for the Gators offense, yet he has only averaged 4.5 yards per carry this season. However, despite the underwhelming season I’m still very high on Perine and believe he could be a nice value pick here for the Jets.
