Scouting Report. CB. player. Pick Analysis. FSU. Levonta Taylor. 6. 44

While I did have the Atlanta Falcons taking a corner earlier in the draft, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them add another in the late rounds to add depth and competition to a struggling unit.

One under the radar 2020 NFL draft target for Atlanta, who I expect to be a better pro than he was in college, is Levonta Taylor out of Florida State.

Levonta Taylor was ranked the top overall corner in the country coming out of high school, ahead of names like Byron Murphy, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson and expected 2020 first-round pick, Kristian Fulton. Unfortunately for Taylor, things didn’t work out as smooth for him as his counterparts.

While he proved to be a playmaker early in his career with the Seminoles, injuries have plagued him for the last couple of seasons. He has missed 9 games in the last two seasons and never got the juice back that he showed early on with the Seminoles.

Taylor still has a chance to improve his stock a little bit at the combine and does have some tape that shows off impressive instincts, versatility and playmaking ability that at one point had Taylor as a top corner prospect just a couple of seasons ago.

This is a low-risk pick in the fifth-round of this 2020 NFL mock draft that could end up paying off huge if Taylor is able to get healthy and work his way back to his expected level of play.
