Pick Analysis. RB. Alabama. Najee Harris. 3. player. Scouting Report. 44

Devonta Freeman may be just about done in Atlanta, as I expect the Falcons to cut ties with the former pro-bowler after the 2019 season. He has had a litany of injury issues over the last couple of seasons and has been pretty ineffective even when he is on the field, so it’s time to find a new head of their backfield for 2020.

So with the 61st pick of this 2020 NFL mock draft, I have the Atlanta Falcons drafting running back Najee Harris out of Alabama.

Harris was a huge recruit coming out of Antioch High School in California and after being stuck in a crowded backfield his first couple of years with the Crimson Tide, he has burst into the spotlight in 2019.

After finally getting handed the reigns as the lead back, Harris has rushed for 1,088 yards on nearly 6 yards per carry and has 11 touchdowns on the ground. He’s also proven to be a problem in the passing game as well, totaling 27 catches for 304 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Harris is a big back that can bring the thunder but also shows off impressive elusiveness in the open field and can wow you with his balance.
