The Atlanta Falcons get themselves a new bell cow in the backfield in this seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.

The Atlanta Falcons have had a frustrating 2019 season and find themselves mathematically eliminated from playoff contention with two weeks to go on their schedule.

The Falcons had a disastrous start to the year, as they went 1-7 through the first half of the season. While they have since made some changes and have been able to go on a late-season run to get to 5-9, it may be too little too late for the Dan Quinn era in Atlanta, as he has one of the hottest seats in the NFL right now.

With the postseason out of the picture and a potential coaching search on the horizon, Falcons fans everywhere will turn their attention to the 2020 NFL draft upon seasons end with hopes that they can turn things around under a new regime.

The 2019 campaign has taught us that the Falcons have more holes than they were expecting going into the year, and while a lot of that can be blamed on injuries, they will look to address some of those holes with their seven picks next April.

They are in need of depth and talent at just about every offensive skill position and need playmakers on the defensive side of the ball as well, so this 2020 NFL mock draft will provide those pieces.

While the emphasis in this draft is on adding splash players on the defense, there are a couple of new weapons for Matt Ryan and the Atlanta offense, including a potential new bell cow in the backfield.
