Van Jefferson, WR, Florida

We know how talented the wide receiver class is in the 2020 NFL Draft, and that extends to the senior class and the Senior Bowl itself. Guys like Brandon Aiyuk, Michael Pittman Jr., and Denzel Mims already have plenty of hype heading into the game. One more player who should be getting attention is Florida wide receiver Van Jefferson.

Jefferson hasn’t been talked about enough in a conference because it has an egregious number of first round talents in it. Another reason is probably the production. Jefferson caught just 43 passes for 528 yards and six touchdowns in 2019, and some of that is attributed to the changing of quarterbacks mid-season.

So why should we pay attention to this guy? For one, Kristian Fulton came on the program and talked with the guys on the show and stated that Jefferson was one of the tougher challenges he faced all season long. That’s high praise in a conference featuring Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III. Jefferson has a lot of nuance to his game as a route runner and can release and create separation quickly.
