The second opportunity for a franchise to start fresh and begin anew. Miami currently holds three selections in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft, making Miami the most likely team to select Hurts in the first round. After having such an immense roster turnover and a new head coach (Brian Flores), Miami looks to their future.

Miami will not be complementing Hurts with much non-rookie offensive talent on day one, limited to receivers DeVante Parker, Allen Hurns, and Mike Gesicki.

Parker has been primed for a breakout campaign since his sophomore year and has continued to make us wait until his breakout performance against the Philadelphia Eagles on 7 catches for 159 yards and 2 scores. Running backs are hard to come by in Miami, as Kenyan Drake was traded to the Arizona Cardinals. This position will need to be addressed in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Defensively, Miami possesses more young talent than their offense, but that isn’t saying much. Cornerback Xavien Howard has been a leader on this defense, and young linebacker Raekwon McMillan looks to break out as the hard-hitter he’s known as among the few people who have seen his play.

Miami has enough draft capital this year to jumpstart their rebuild with multiple first-round talents. As long as this capital is used correctly, Hurts will be surrounded by numerous rookies who are looking to revive Miami. Similarly to Cincinnati, Hurts has the chance to mold an offense in his image and create a legacy in Miami.
