2020 NFL Draft: CeeDee Lamb is WR1 in this first-round mock draft
We have a new name atop the 2020 NFL Draft receiver rankings! Overtaking Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy is Oklahoma wideout, CeeDee Lamb.
Lamb had sustained an incredible season this year for the Sooners. He and Jalen Hurts hook up for big play after big play, leading OU to the College Football Playoff.
While many may have attributed Lamb’s numbers and success to head coach Lincoln Riley’s offensive system, Lamb has shown that his performance is no fluke. Week after week he exhibits qualities of an elite NFL receiver.
A crisp route runner with incredibly dependable hands, Lamb is also a true deep threat how is great at tracking balls, catching them in stride and taking them in for six. He has the speed to blow by corners during his routes and the agility and shiftiness to take a short pass down the field for a score.
Unfortunately for Arizona and their fans, Larry Fitzgerald has to retire at some point, and it will likely be soon. Christian Kirk has been productive out of the slot, and while the Cardinals drafted a few receivers in later rounds last year, none of them have broken out as dependable weapons.
Lamb would bring a dynamic presence to that offense that I don’t remember them ever having. His big-play ability is fantastic, and his dependability underneath as well makes him a true number one receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft.
