Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 59. Quarterback. Alabama. Tua Tagovailoa. 4

“Tank for Tua” had been the mantra of the 2020 NFL Draft for the majority of the season. But with Tua Tagovailoa‘s injury concerns along with Joe Burrow and Chase Young’s outstanding seasons, Tua has kind of become an afterthought.

The southpaw has as much talent and potential as any quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft class, but also comes with as many red flags as any of the other prospects as well. While pretty much all of these red flags are centered around his inability to stay healthy, they could be enough to cause him to fall a bit come April.

For me, I doubt Tua falls too far. He had too much hype over his career and has too much promise to not be a very high pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. At this point in the draft, the Dolphins have to secure their quarterback. If they like Tua, they have to take him here.

Tua has the arm talent to become a very good NFL quarterback. Add in his ability to run and he could be a dynamic difference-maker for a franchise that has struggled mightily for years. They need to take a bit of a swing in the 2020 NFL Draft in hopes that they find greatness.

Miami fans would have to hope that Tua can stay healthy and reach his full potential, while Tua fans will have to hope that Miami can put him in a position to succeed. Watching Ryan Tannehill thrive with the Titans has to be frustrating for Dolphins fans. It makes you question whether any quarterback can thrive with this organization. But Miami has the draft capital to make a splash and turn the tides of their franchise for the future, and here it starts with Tua Tagovailoa.
