The fates of almost every NFL franchise have been settled in terms of playoff contention, and now look to NFL Free Agency in the 2020 offseason.
The primary way for teams to address their holes in the offseason is through NFL free agency. This time is used for teams to fill voids on their roster left by departures and underdeveloped draft talent. Positional talent will drive value, and positions such as quarterback and edge rusher become some of the most coveted pieces in the market.
This free agency preview will look at the likely available stock of players who will hit the market in summer 2020, some returning and some leaving on likely lucrative deals. Each slide will be divided into two players, one value and one star. This piece will cover both the best values and biggest names in the market this year.
Players such as Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Larry Fitzgerald, and others have been left out to highlight those (almost) certain to return for the 2020 season. Other names such as Von Miller, Everson Griffen, and DeVante Parker have been left out due to their contract structures and the likelihood to return on lucrative deals.
Some of these names also have a high likelihood of returning to their current homes, but they will be included because other teams will still make their pitches to lure their targets. A list of possible suitors will be included based upon scheme fit, need, and cap space.
