13. Pick Analysis. OT. Trey Adams. 42. Scouting Report. Washington. player

In the first round of this 2020 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers took Justin Herbert to be their new franchise quarter. With their second-round selection, they take a left tackle to protect his blindside.

Injuries have been a major issue for Trey Adams throughout his college career, but when he is healthy, this guy is a fantastic left tackle. He has an extremely powerful player who also moves extremely well on the outside. Adams is a good run blocker and fantastic pass protector who could come in and immediately play left tackle for the Chargers. Durability is a concern, but Adams is a good football player who could end up being a major steal in the 2020 NFL Draft.

USC. player. 43. 45. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OT. Austin Jackson

Adams also would have been a strong fit for the Denver Broncos, but their AFC West rivals snag him right in front of them. Instead, the Broncos take a chance on USC left tackle Austin Jackson.

Jackson is a long and athletic offensive tackle who shows great pass protection ability at left tackle. He may not be quite ready to handle being a full-time left tackle, but his overall skill set is certainly interesting. Jackson should be able to grow into the replacement of Garett Bolles for the Broncos.

Penn State. KJ Hamler. 44. WR. 54. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player

The Philadelphia Eagles have desperately lacked speed at the wide receiver position this season and it has hurt their ability to consistently move the ball on offense. Carson Wentz just does not have a receiver who can consistently separate.

Here, the Eagles get some speed at the position, as they bring in KJ Hamler out of Penn State. Hamler is one of the quickest and most explosive offensive playmakers in the 2020 NFL draft class, consistently using his speed to separate from man coverage. Once the ball is in his hands, Hamler does a great job of making defenders miss in space and has the speed to take it to the house from anywhere on the field.

Hamler is a dynamic playmaker who fits the Eagles’ specific offensive needs well. There is a lot to like about this pick for the Eagles.
