2020 NFL Draft: Jerry Jeudy slides in this three-round NFL mock draft
Laviska Shenault Jr. and the Baltimore Ravens is my favorite fit between player and team in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Ravens have an obvious need at the wide receiver position, but this pick is so much more than that.
Shenault runs crisp routes and catches the ball well. He can line up and consistently make plays at wide receiver. However, he is a special player with the ball in his hands. Obviously, that is good for his run after catch ability, but in college, Colorado was creative in ways to get Shenault the ball.
They would line this guy up all over the field. They play him outside, in the slot, running back, tight end and even wildcat quarterback. Doesn’t he seem like a guy who would be fun in the Ravens’ offense? One play, they could line him up out wide and he will catch a pass from Lamar Jackson. On the next play, they could put him in the backfield and run a zone read with him and Jackson. His versatility would play brilliantly in Baltimore.
With the final first-round selection of this 2020 NFL draft scenario, the Seattle Seahawks find some help on the offensive line. Trey Smith used to be a good offensive tackle and now he is a dominant offensive guard. He is an incredibly strong and powerful player who clears out rushing lanes with ease up front.
Smith is not the most athletic player, but he moves well enough to hold his own. Whether they would play him at tackle or guard, Smith would be a perfect fit for the Seahawks and their gap rushing scheme.
