Devonta Smith. 25. 59. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Alabama. WR. player

Earlier in this mock draft, the Miami Dolphins took Tua Tagovailoa to be their franchise quarterback. With this pick, the Dolphins get Tua one of his favorite college receivers.

Devonta Smith is a big and explosive wide receiver who knows how to create space with route running and create yardage after the catch. He is an extremely smooth player who releases well at the line of scrimmage and has the speed to beat nearly any defensive back deep.

In this mock draft, the Dolphins commit to Tua as their franchise quarterback. To make life easier and more comfortable for him, they also give him a talented and familiar target to work with.

The Buffalo Bills have done a nice job of making the most out of what they have at the wide receiver position. That being said, they continue to lack a true number one at the position and need to find a guy who can grow with franchise quarterback Josh Allen. In this 2020 NFL draft scenario, Clemson’s Tee Higgins is the guy.

Higgins is a massive wide receiver position who has a huge catch radius and great natural ball skills. He is among the best contested-catch receivers in the 2020 NFL draft class. Higgins does not separate particularly well, but honestly, he does not really need to. He just seems to come down with everything.

Higgins is a great receiver, but he is a particularly strong fit for Allen and the Bills. Allen is not exactly the most accurate passer so giving him a contested-catch weapon with a massive catch radius like Higgins seems ideal.
