2020 NFL Draft: Jerry Jeudy slides in this three-round NFL mock draft
Jacoby Brissett is a good quarterback. Few teams would have been able to lose their starting quarterback just before the season and still have been able to compete like the Indianapolis Colts have this year. That being said, I do not think that Brissett is good enough to lead this team all the way. If the right opportunity presents itself, the Colts should look to bring in a developmental quarterback who can come and eventually take over for Brissett.
In this 2020 NFL draft scenario, Jordan Love is the guy. Love is an extremely talented quarterback prospect who shows an incredible combination of arm strength and mobility. He is a natural playmaker at the quarterback position who does a great job of improvising and making plays on the run.
As talented as Love is, he has struggled with consistency in college. His decision making needs some work, as does his accuracy to all levels of the field. That being said, if Love can clean up his game a bit, he could be an NFL star. In this scenario, the Colts bring in Love but keep Brissett as their starter for at least next season. If Love shows enough growth, he could potentially take over as their starting quarterback in 2021.
We talked a lot about Jeudy earlier, but he is not the only Alabama wide receiver who has a good chance of going in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Here, Jeudy’s teammate Henry Ruggs III goes off of the board to the Oakland Raiders.
Ruggs is the fastest and most explosive player in college football. He is an elite deep threat who shows the ability to score from anywhere on the field. However, Ruggs is more than just a burner. This guy is a good route runner who understands how to create space and catches the ball well in traffic. He also shows elite short-area quickness that obviously pairs well with his game-breaking speed.
The Raiders find an explosive offensive playmaker for Derek Carr with their second first-round selection of this 2020 NFL draft scenario.
