2020 NFL Draft: Jerry Jeudy slides in this three-round NFL mock draft
Interior defensive line is not the biggest need for the Philadelphia Eagles, but with Auburn defensive tackle Derrick Brown still on the board, this feels like a pick that Howie Roseman would make. Roseman likes to build his teams through the offensive and defensive line and bringing Brown into the mix would certainly fit that style.
Fletcher Cox is still an incredible disruptor on the interior for the Eagles, but he could use some help. Brown is an extremely talented interior player who could come in and provide immediate impact from the defensive tackle position.
Brown is a big and powerful defensive lineman who can dominate at the point of attack. He also gets off of the ball quickly and does a fantastic job of creating upfield burst. Simply put, Brown has an exciting combination of power and quickness that will make him a disruptive player on the interior at the next level.
The Eagles certainly have some work to do in other areas of their defense, but Brown is simply too good of a player to pass on here. With this pick, the Eagles get a legitimate top-ten talent in the 2020 NFL draft class with their pick at 12. Great value selection for the team.
