2020 NFL mock draft: Burrow or Young at No. 1? How far does Tua fall?
By Evan Bachman
With Mackensie Alexander and Trae Waynes being free agents Minnesota may have to look to the draft for a cornerback replacement.
According to draftblaster.com, “(Adebo) is able to diagnose plays quickly and makes smart moves to match routes from receivers, and doesn’t often take false steps. Reads the quarterback’s eyes well, and patiently awaits plays to develop. Gets to the point of the catch quickly.”
“Extremely active at the point of the catch. He gets his hands into the receiver and makes catches very difficult for his offensive counterpart. He is also apt to making a quick decision on a ball he feels he can pick off, and had a productive stat line with interceptions. Smooth hips, and turns and runs with receivers well.”
Over the last two seasons, in 22 games Adebo has eight interceptions and 27 passes defended.
As long as the Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes, they are always capable of making a Super Bowl run, but having a bad coverage unit makes it difficult. They have to improve on the back-end of their defense this offseason. In this 2020 NFL mock draft, they add Virginia cornerback Bryce Hall.
According to draftblaster.com, Hall is “An experienced cover corner that has honed his skills in man coverage and with one on one against top receivers, but lacks an all-around game, such as vs. the run, blitzing, and against non WR receivers such as shifty backs and bigger tight ends.”
Hall leads the country in passes defended last year with 21 and also had a very impressive 91.2 overage grade and 91.4 coverage grade, according to PFF.
Unfortunately, Hall was limited to just 6 games this season due to an ankle injury.
