Building the Detroit Lions with a complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft.

After a disappointing Thanksgiving Day loss to the Chicago Bears, the Detroit Lions are now 3-8-1 on the year and are going nowhere fast. If Matthew Stafford does not end up returning from injury, they are unlikely to win any of their remaining games and end up with an extremely high 2020 NFL draft pick.

As things stand now, the Detroit Lions hold the sixth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and are more likely to climb the draft order as opposed to falling. In this post, we are going to go seven rounds deep with the Lions in the 2020 draft, trying to improve their stock of talent on both sides of the ball.

The Lions are going to be a difficult team to make predictions for because we really do not know how the franchise is going to look when the 2020 NFL Draft rolls around. General manager Bob Quinn is squarely on the hot seat, as is head coach Matt Patricia.

This offseason, the Detroit Lions could easily be building a brand new front office and coaching staff. Normally, we have an idea of what kind of players these teams will be looking at, but with Detroit, it is difficult to determine right now.

That being said, we still understand this draft class well and can determine the actual needs for these specific teams. The Lions have clear needs on both sides of the ball and simply fill them if they expect to compete going further. Without further ado, here is a complete seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft for the Detroit Lions.

Note: This mock draft was completed using The Draft Network’s mock draft simulator.
