Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 48. QB. Utah State. Jordan Love. 10

Jordan Love is a major project at the quarterback position, built with great size, athleticism, and a strong arm, but his physical skills are not refined and he needs seasoning and good coaching.

I’m all about Bruce Arians getting a young quarterback in this draft class to mold, and Love has a solid skillset for what Arians likes to do pushing the ball downfield vertically.

Love has made some of the most beautiful deep ball throws this season that we’ve seen, but he needs work on the little things.

I don’t know what the Bucs intend to do with Jameis Winston. He’s an enigma and not consistent enough for my liking, but there’s no doubt about the fact that he’s talented.

Perhaps the Bucs will give Winston another year or two to prove himself, but they need a contingency plan.

Love has the tools to come in and develop over the long haul, but he will need time and patience. The Bucs may be a team that goes after bridge QBs while he develops behind the scenes.
