The Washington Redskins may not have great 2020 NFL Draft capital, but they have a strong trio of young players on offense to build around.

The Washington Redskins have now won two straight games, and as a result have moved down to third overall in the 2020 NFL Draft order behind their division rival New York Giants.

Even though Washington has won their way out of the Chase Young sweepstakes — for now — winning with the young pieces they have in place is more sweet than bitter and gives fans hope that the front office may have actually set some good foundation pieces in place for the future.

But there is still plenty of work to be done.

The Redskins have no clarity at left tackle right now. Their offense has been the worst in the league this season. Depth is needed all around the roster and Washington may be losing right guard Brandon Scherff to free agency.

With that being said, Washington has to be thrilled with the 10 carry, 129-yard performance from running back Derrius Guice, who combined with Adrian Peterson for one of the better performances by a backfield this season with 228 rushing yards and three touchdowns between the two of them as they ran all over the Carolina Panthers.

Although it’s been slow-going for Dwayne Haskins in his starts this season, Washington has pieces at quarterback, running back, and receiver (Terry McLaurin) to build on for the future. How will they use the 2020 NFL Draft to do so?

Let’s mock a few picks for the Redskins.
