2020 NFL Draft: Five teams who need TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers are one of the more obvious landing spots for Jalen Reagor. Green Bay came into 2019 expecting a lot from second-year wide receivers J’Mon Moore, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown. Moore was cut before the season started and St. Brown has been hurt all year. Valdes-Scantling has shown some flashes this year, but the production hasn’t been there consistently.
The whole receiving core needs work beyond Davante Adams. Geronimo Allison has struggled with drops all year, and their second-best receiver this year is Allen Lazard. It’s time to change that.
Recent drafts have been about building the defense in the early rounds. It’s time the Packers find a playmaker in the 2020 NFL Draft to help quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who just turned 36 years old.
The Packers offense was lethal early in the decade because they had a consistent deep threat that made Green Bay a team that could score anywhere on the field. Jalen Reagor is that explosive player who could bring that element back to this team. He can stretch the field vertically while also creating separation on quick routes. He can also play in the slot and be a threat carrying the football in Matt LaFleur’s offense.
