2020 NFL Draft: Five teams who need TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor
TCU’s Jalen Reagor has officially declared for the 2020 NFL Draft. Here are five teams who could add him in April.
Underclassmen declarations have already begun for the 2020 NFL Draft. Arizona’s J.J. Taylor was unofficially first, followed by Missouri’s Jordan Elliott and Albert Okwuegbunam. The latest to declare is TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor.
Reagor had a standout season as a sophomore, with 72 catches, 1,061 yards, and nine touchdowns, but his production dipped in his junior season, as he caught just 43 passes for 611 yards and five touchdowns. That is mostly attributed to the offense struggling mightily at times in 2019, especially at the quarterback position.
Reagor is a true playmaker at the wide receiver position that teams will love throughout the draft process. He’s an explosive athlete on tape which will lead to very good numbers at the combine. TCU found ways to get him the ball in the running game along with the passing game, which shows his versatility he can bring to an offense.
Reagor has the speed to threaten defenses vertically and the acceleration once he gets in space. He also possesses great quickness and change of direction skills to succeed in the short area as a route runner, while also being dynamic after the catch. He’s also made some plays in contested spots this season.
Analysts are already comparing Reagor to versatile receivers in the NFL. Guys like Curtis Samuel, Taylor Gabriel, T.Y. Hilton and potential 2020 draft class member K.J. Hamler are good comparisons for him.
In this deep receiver class, which teams could be calling his name come the 2020 NFL Draft? Let’s take a look at five.
