Scouting Report. Devonta Smith. player. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. Alabama. 25. 59

Here is a guy that should be FLYING up draft boards. Devonta Smith has been the most productive receiver on an incredibly talented Alabama roster but is still garnering little attention as a first-round pick. While Jeudy and Ruggs are consistently being mocked in the top half of the first round in most 2020 NFL mock drafts, Smith is often nowhere to be found.

Through 12 games, Smith has 65 receptions for 1,200 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. He was a favorite target of Tua’s before his injury and now the two reunite in Miami. Smith does everything well that you look for in a wide receiver. He runs solid routes, has great hands and has a knack for finding open space in the defense.

Alongside DeVante Parker and Preston Williams, Smith would add to a solid, young receiving corps for Tua to throw the ball to. Rapport is vital between a quarterback and his receivers so their experience together should benefit both at the next level should they both end up in Miami like it plays out here.

16. Scouting Report. 26. player. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. Clemson. Tee Higgins

Another receiver off of the board here in the 2020 NFL Draft to the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have been playing very well lately on both sides of the ball. One need that stands out to me is a big-bodied receiver on the outside. John Brown has been great this year, as has Cole Beasley after coming over from the Cowboys. But neither are real red-zone/jump ball threats.

Tee Higgins is 6-foot-4, 200 pounds with incredible leaping ability. While he could improve as a route runner, Higgins’ big body, speed, jumping ability and body control make him an easy target down the field and in the red zone to throw the ball up to. Josh Allen would love to be able to do that and Higgins can be that guy for Buffalo.
