Nate Landman (#53) – Colorado Buffaloes

2019 Season Stats: 103 Tackles, 7 TFLs, 2 Sacks

Last but certainly not least, we have that linebacker I teased earlier in Nate Landman. Nicknamed “The Hammer“, Landman is a hard-nosed defender who has more than earned his moniker. Racking up a combined 207 tackles over the past two seasons, it’s easy to see why he’s been given such a name.

Similarly to Moss, Landman looks for contact and loves to hit. On film, he can be seen shooting gaps to make big-time plays in the backfield. In terms of tackling prowess, Landman shows an admirable technique in lowering his hips and squaring up his opponents.

Additionally, Landman shows a decent sideline-to-sideline range given that he is somewhat limited athletically.  He won’t wow you with his coverage abilities, but he makes an admirable effort given the competition around him.

While he probably is a day-three pick by my estimation, Landman would still be a valuable get in the 2020 NFL Draft. Saturday’s matchup will be an interesting test of his abilities as he has to contend with the likes of Moss and quarterback Tyler Huntley.
