8. Arizona Cardinals: CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma

Kliff Kingsbury and Kyler Murray have quickly made the Arizona Cardinals a competitive bunch that can make any game interesting but if they want to reach the next level, they need to surround Murray with some more talent on that offense.

That is why with the eighth pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, I have the Cardinals taking Oklahoma wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb.

If you made the case that CeeDee Lamb was the best wide receiver prospect in this class, you wouldn’t get an argument from me. There is nothing not to like about his game as he is a playmaker in every sense of the word.

In three seasons with the Sooners, Lamb has reeled in 32 touchdowns (2nd in school history) and has racked up over 3,000 yards through the air. He has incredible hands, uses body positioning as a weapon, always puts himself in a position to make a play and is so tough to get to the ground once the ball is in his hands.

The Arizona Cardinals drafted three wide receivers in the 2019 draft but none of them have the upside and WR1 traits that CeeDee Lamb has.

With Larry Fitzgerald’s contract (and possibly career) coming to an end after the season, it would be the perfect transition and it would give Murray a familiar face with whom he already has a rapport.
