2020 NFL Draft: Thanksgiving Day first-round 2020 NFL mock draft
5. Denver Broncos: Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama
Denver Broncos fans have had a laundry list of headaches to deal with in 2019. They whiffed on the acquisition of Joe Flacco, traded away Emmanuel Sanders, didn’t give Chris Harris a long term deal, haven’t gotten to see Drew Lock and just have been an overall disappointment this season.
These are just some of several things that have led to the Broncos currently being in the position to be picking fifth overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Obviously, it’s not fun to lose but if things did shake out this way, Denver would get their pick of a lot of really good players still available.
Ohio State cornerback Jeffrey Okudah has been a popular pick for them this season and while he probably fills more of an immediate need, I think Jerry Jeudy still being on the board would be too hard to pass up.
Jeudy checks all of the boxes when scouting a top talent at wide receiver and is just so fun to watch. His routes are absolutely ridiculous, as he can break them off with a rare suddenness that creates separation consistently.
His blend of speed and stop on a dime ability is nearly impossible to contain and it’s why Jerry Jeudy seems to be one of the more sure things in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Pairing him with Courtland Sutton, who has had a breakout year this season, would give them a dynamic young duo that would provide a spark for whoever is tossing them the football in 2020.
