3. Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

It’s easy to get scared off by Tua Tagovailoa’s health concerns after a major hip injury against Mississippi State a few weeks ago sidelined him for the remainder of the season. However, he’s too talented of a player at the league’s most important position to pass up. As long as his rehab goes well and his medicals check out throughout the draft process, The Dolphins would be crazy to pass him up.

That’s why I have Tua defying the odds, remaining the top available quarterback target for Miami and going third overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Tua has been the face of college football ever since his national championship heroics back in 2017. His accuracy (career 69% completion percentage), touch, arm strength, mobility and IQ are all evident every week you watch him play. He is terrific at handling pressure, has jaw-dropping placement on his deep ball and is a born leader that fits the mold of an NFL signal-caller.

Tank for Tua began with the Dolphins in mind and became synonymous with them early in the season, so it just feels right to have this one pay off. While many will question the risk, the potential reward far outweighs that risk and it should be the pick for Miami.
