32. San Francisco 49ers: Paulson Adebo, CB, Stanford

The 49ers have the best defense in the NFL right now but are still in need of some depth at cornerback. One name that I think is a great fit and value at the final first-round pick of the 2020 NFL Draft is Paulson Adebo out of Stanford.

Adebo went into the 2019 season as a popular choice for CB1 in this class but some rough outings and being a part of a bad Cardinal defense has pushed him down just a little bit.

That being said, Adebo has still shown off a lot of likable traits that the 49ers covet in their boundary corners. He’s long, physical and has great vision and instincts that are key for succeeding in Robert Saleh’s zone-centric scheme.

Adebo’s playmaking ability is also a huge plus, as he has nabbed 8 interceptions and has 27 pass deflections in just 21 games at Stanford. Those are big-time numbers that show how often Adebo is in a position to make a play.

He has a lot of upside and would get to learn behind a future Hall of Famer in Richard Sherman, whose contract is up in 2020. This is a low-risk, high-reward move that would only stand to make the Niners defense even tougher to deal with in the future. As if that’s even possible.
